DIY HouseHold Cleaning Hacks

Kitchen sink polish

You take half of a readily available lemon and sprinkle salt on it. Scrub the sink and discover how amazing the lemon and the salt clean. Microwave steam clean

You assemble water and vinegar in halves meaning the whole mixture should be half water and half vinegar. You put the mixture in a bowl glass and insert it the microwave. You turn on the microwave thereafter monitor so it steams over a reasonable time and then get the steamed mixture out of the oven.
After removing the mixture you can wipe the sides of the microwave with the use of a clean kitchen towel.
It is a form of maintaining a microwave that can be done once a week depending on how often you use your microwave. Though not recommended for deep cleaning, it does help and saves you cost

Easy coffee maker cleaning

You begin by simply filling the reservoir with vinegar after removing any components of coffee in the appliance. You then brew the vinegar until it is all clear thereby disposing off the brewed substance. After the process, you are going to need to wash out the reservoir that holds the water using soap and clean water. This is important to prevent your coffee from testing like vinegar.
Thereafter, you run 2 or 3 rounds using clean water to completely get rid of the vinegar taste throughout the appliance.
This method is quick and very easy and it removes major stains from the coffee maker. It is a hack you can do at home and all you need to have is vinegar!

Cleaning Legos

Take a mash bag then through all the Legos in there and put the bag in a wash and add whatever washer off your choice or the one you use to wash your cloths and then simply wash the legos in the bag.
After the cleaning, dry them out in the sun on a clean towel or surface and that’s actually it. Cleaning the legos using this method is very easy, fast and quite effective compared to actually having to literally clean piece by piece.

Disinfecting household cleaner

You add water, vinegar and a little bit of lemon essential oil together in a glass container then shake. Spray the mixture on the surfaces such as counter tops then wipe clean thereafter. It is quite easy and effective and absolutely cheaper way of disinfecting your kitchen surfaces.

‘Swiffer’

Instead of buying an actual swiffer that will cost you a few dollars to get rid of dust in some areas of the house, use a clean sock. You can dust around mirrors, pictures, electronics, or any other places that need dusting. That pair of sock that you don’t use can be it. What’s amazing about this hack is that everybody has that sock that they don’t get to use.

This is a home hack that saves you both money and a sock that you would have gotten rid of probably because you did not need it. Even though this method does not attract dust the same way as the actual swiffer, it is effective and quite reliable when you do not own a swiffer.

Alternatively, instead of having to refill your swiffer, cut the top part of the sock then insert the swiffer in it and use it in dusting off.
